I Decided
that this is a great song. A great minimalist piano line anchors Solange’s cheerful vocals in this little retro number produced by the Neptunes. I don’t think I’ve ever heard another song by Solange, but this one definitely lets her develop her own voice and style distinct from her sister Beyonce’s — a good thing, since their voices are similar enough to confuse.
The video is gorgeous — I haven’t the faintest idea what programs are out there that can do this — but it appears Photoshop features are hitting video hard. A nice downtempo summer hit.
Update: the piano bit is a sample from Love Is Like A Heat Wave by Motown quartet Martha Reeves and the Vandellas.

I really like the song and its airy summer feel. The only thing I would change is the effect on her voice. She has a great voice and the songs deserves to have the beauty of her natural voice. It would simplify the song a little more and give it an even greater organic summer sound.
I agree! It would go better with the simple piano part as well.
