I don’t really remember going to Red Lobster as a child, but I do remember going to Sizzler’s, which is like the old person’s version of Red Lobster with less seafood on the menu and more early bird specials. But in all other ways identical, right?

Finally, a remake that hits me on a vulnerable gut level, one that threatens to annihilate my adolescent identity rooted in film. Yes, melodramatic as that sounds, I will be mourning the loss of my filmic innocence when this monstrosity hits theatres. Even though I won’t go see it.
